CReative Industries Safety Passport (CRISP)

A health and safety course that puts you in the driving seat

BECTU is raising health and safety standards across TV, film, theatre and live events. Whether you are employed or freelance, you can take part in a nationally recognised* training course, accredited by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), to gain a Creative Industries Safety Passport to take with you to each new job or employer.warning-42657_1280

This one-day course will teach you:

  • How and why we need safety policies and risk assessments
  • Health and safety law
  • How to identify and assess risks and hazards – and how to do ‘dynamic’, on-the-job risk assessments yourself
  • Practical control measures
  • Accident reporting and how to cope with working at height, electricity, fire, stress, manual handling, lone working etc.

Once you pass, you’ll be issued with a credit card-sized passport, valid for three years, which is registered on IOSH’s central database so verification by employers is easy.

Take control, take the BECTU Creative Industries Safety Passport course.

Visit our training pages for details of upcoming CRISP courses.
