A free film and TV networking event presented in association with BECTU/CULT Cymru, aimed at freelancers of all disciplines.

Join us at O’Neill’s on the 26th of September for the eighth of our regular film and television networking events. Presented in association with BECTU/CULT Cymru this event is open to people of all experience levels in the industry. You can expect a night full of camera operators, actors, animators, make up artists, directors and more getting together to socialise and find out about projects and work opportunities in Cardiff and the surrounding areas.

This event will also feature three guest speakers giving short talks about their experiences as freelancers in the film and TV industry – these will be announced later.

Production Management course coming soon!

We are pleased to announce that we will be running the Production Management TV, Drama and Film for the first time from 11th Novemeber – 15th November.

This modular course will furnish you with a thorough knowledge base of the skills necessary to become an excellent and effective PM. Using interactive seminars, practical exercises, workshops and industry examples, you will come away with a strong foundation with which to further develop your career and excel as a PM

PRIDE – Screening & Networking

BECTU and the USW have the pleasure of inviting you to join us in a special screening of the film ‘Pride’ in the company of David Donovan (former miner / the Union BECTU’s National Officer for Wales) and Daryl Perrins, Lecturer at USW.

The story is based on the unique relationship built up between the National Union of Miners in the Swansea Valley and the Lesbian and Gay community in London at the time of the Miners Strike in the 80’s. One of the key activists at the NUM was David Donovan (played by Patrick Considine).
